OUR WORK » CURRENT PROJECTS »ALASKA RECOVERY CENTERThe preliminary site selection process for the Alaska Recovery Center has afforded Land Design North the opportunity to exhibit its strengths in organizing and facilitating stakeholder meetings and providing thorough inventory and analysis for the development of the anticipated facility. Working with ECI-Hyer, Steve Fishback Architect and the Alaska Recovery Center Site Selection Steering Committee, LDN has been tasked to gather and analyze all potential sites in and around Anchorage, Alaska that could accommodate the facility’s determined needs with direction provided by the Steering Committee. The evolution of the Alaska Recovery Center project has included assessing campus development alternatives, defining of specific site selection criteria, generating pertinent graphics and maps and developing a criteria matrix to evaluate each of the 19 potential sites selected for further review. A series of more detailed evaluations are being done for the top five potential sites and will be included in a comprehensive report exhibiting the potential sites’ suitability for the Alaska Recovery Center program.
